Motorama Long
Beach Motorama is a modern indoor and outdoor Car Show &
Cruise steeped in tradition! The first car show to be back
in the Long Beach Arena in 32 yrs. Long Beach Motorama pays
tribute to the Renegades Car Club formed in 1941 in Long Beach.
In early 1950 through 1957, the club was producing Kustom
car shows on high school football fields. This new craze grew
into the show being held in Long Beach Municipal Auditorium
from 1958-1960. This was the “Premiere” Kustoms
show on the West Coast back then, with the National Roadster
Show (Oakland) being the equivalent for hot rods to the North.
Here you will find hand-formed Kustoms, hand built Hot Rods
and hand-made sports cars. These unique machines offer the
finished product of many painstaking hours and individual
ideas of their creators.. These creators of “personalized
cars” are the automotive pioneers of today. They have
turned away from the dull pattern of uniformity and conformity,
seeking that personal expression of individuality which burns
deep within almost every man, woman and child. These non-conformists
have used the automobile as their instrument for personal
expression and in doing so they present the true “Classic”
cars of today. Long Beach Motorama enjoys 20+ acres of grass
waterfront in sunny Southern California, with sail boats and
the “Historic” Queen Mary as our back drop for
you to kick back and soak in the SoCal lifestyle. Tickets:
Adults $17; Kids 13-17 $5 and 12 and under FREE. Arena and
Motorama Times: Friday 12pm-10pm, Saturday 10am-10pm, Sunday

The
Long Beach Triathlon The
Long Beach Triathlon is a fast paced three-sport fundraising
event that will take place at 7:00 AM, along the Long Beach
City downtown shoreline. “This will be the 12th annual
triathlon, and our second year as a fundraising event. I hope
that through this event, the Southern California community will
come together and recognize that HIV is still a big problem
in this country”, said Karen Kachigan, founder of the
Long Beach Triathlon. As a sprint triathlon, the race covers
roughly half the classic Olympic triathlon distance, where athletes
compete in a ½ mile swim, an 11-mile cycling race, and
a 3-mile run. The triathlon is ideal for novice and intermediate
athletes, yet attractive enough to draw the top tri-athletes
on the West Coast circuit. All proceeds from the triathlon go
towards supporting the Comprehensive AIDS Resource and Education
(C.A.R.E.) Program at St. Mary Medical Center, the largest comprehensive
HIV provider in the Greater Long Beach area, and the fifth largest
private HIV provider in the County of Los Angeles. To participate
in the triathlon as an athlete, please contact Pacific Sports
here
or call 714-978-1528.

Beach Motorama Long
Beach Motorama is a modern indoor and outdoor Car Show &
Cruise steeped in tradition! The first car show to be back in
the Long Beach Arena in 32 yrs. Long Beach Motorama pays tribute
to the Renegades Car Club formed in 1941 in Long Beach. In early
1950 through 1957, the club was producing Kustom car shows on
high school football fields. This new craze grew into the show
being held in Long Beach Municipal Auditorium from 1958-1960.
This was the “Premiere” Kustoms show on the West
Coast back then, with the National Roadster Show (Oakland) being
the equivalent for hot rods to the North. Here you will find
hand-formed Kustoms, hand built Hot Rods and hand-made sports
cars. These unique machines offer the finished product of many
painstaking hours and individual ideas of their creators.. These
creators of “personalized cars” are the automotive
pioneers of today. They have turned away from the dull pattern
of uniformity and conformity, seeking that personal expression
of individuality which burns deep within almost every man, woman
and child. These non-conformists have used the automobile as
their instrument for personal expression and in doing so they
present the true “Classic” cars of today. Long Beach
Motorama enjoys 20+ acres of grass waterfront in sunny Southern
California, with sail boats and the “Historic” Queen
Mary as our back drop for you to kick back and soak in the SoCal
lifestyle. Tickets: Adults $17; Kids 13-17 $5 and 12 and under
FREE. Arena and Motorama Times: Friday 12pm-10pm, Saturday 10am-10pm,
